A new study by The WorkUSA® 2006/2007 entitled "Debunking the Myths of Employee Engagement" shows that while employee engagement provides a solid foundation for financial success, employers should look beyond engagement if they are going to achieve superior financial performance

The ultimate goal should be employee effectiveness, which builds on the engagement foundation by giving employees the training, resources, tools and equipment to work effectively and by creating an environment where the organization demonstrates its values, and creates a culture of trust and ethical behavior.

NuView Systems Inc. with the release of the brand new compensation module helps create compensation measures and structures for companies that care about employee effectiveness. The end to end solution built on NuView tools that tracks recruiting needs, employee performance, employee training needs, development plans, succession plans and compensation provides just the basis for measuring employee engagement and effectiveness.

The companies that use NuViewHR and comprise the NuView family have started using core transactional processes essential to all organizations Most companies have loaded their data and have gone live with employee and manager self-service.

Most commonly deployed processes are hr administration – hires, transfers, salary changes, terminations;benefits, administration, life event changes, open enrollment;payroll interfaces, benefit carrier interfaces time accruals and absence management. Some companies have added to the core processes using Recruiting, Web based Candidate Sourcing, Training and Time and Attendance modules.

Our job at NuView is to inform our clients of the untapped potential that lies just beneath the surface to bring out the strategic possibilities.

We are putting together a user conference on October 2 & 3 of this year in Scottsdale, Arizona at which time we will explain the possibilities. We are interested in hearing from you so we can put together a meaningful agenda and expose the possibilities that a strategic tool like NuViewHR can deliver to your organizations. Keep tuned!

NuView Systems is happy to announce the latest addition to our strategic Human Resource Management Systems!

Compensation Management is an advanced salary planning tool that allows managers to balance salary increases against budget, while displaying the variance for all pay and earning types.

Not only does Compensation Management link individual employee performance with compensation, it also streamlines budget increases by department, or by payment plan, using a merit matrix model.

Compensation Management is a key addition to the NuViewHR® Recruiting Management, Performance Management, Training Administration and Metrics modules.

Compensation Management brings out the strategic value of employee effectiveness to an organization.

Additional features include standard report library encompassing ‘Actual vs. Planned Increase’ and ‘Departmental Increase’ summaries, as well as the ability to generate wage increase confirmation letters for all employees. Lastly, a built-in ad hoc Report Writer and Query tool provides greater flexibility in generating answers to employee inquiries.

Please contact your Regional Sales Manager for module pricing information.

Benefits Management Benchmark

NuView Systems and the Aberdeen Group co-sponsored a study entitled Benefits Management Benchmark: Technology Automation and Employee Self-Service

The study revealed that the most critical drivers for improving benefit management systems include:

• Lowering the employee cost
• Lowering HR administrative burden
• Improving employee satisfaction and retention (using systems as a retention tool)

To address these needs, the report looked at benefits management purposes, capabilities and progress experienced by companies of all sizes. Findings were based on this benchmark survey, which was conducted in November, 2006, with 137 companies participating

About 28% of respondents were Vice Presidents or C-level Executives, with most other respondents at a Director or Manager level in their respective functions.

NuView Systems is investing in protection of your data. The company has taken the time and effort to acquire both the SAS 70 Type 1 Certification and Safe Harbor Certification.

Having a SAS 70 certification reflects that the company has been through an in-depth audit of their control activities, which must be fully documented, covering areas such as work environment, escalations, information technology, access to data, and related monitoring and auditing processes. NuView communicates the Type I certification through a Service Auditor's Report. The service auditor expresses an opinion on:

Whether the service organization's description of its controls presents fairly, in all material respects, the relevant aspects of the service organization's controls that had been placed in operation as of a specific date.

• Whether the controls were suitably designed to achieve specified control objectives.

SAS 70 Type II certification is currently in its final stages and we anticipate a July 1 or thereabouts final certification.

In Type II, the service auditor expresses an opinion on the same items noted above in a Type I report, and whether the controls that were tested were operating with sufficient effectiveness to provide reasonable, but not absolute, assurance that the control objectives were achieved during the period specified.

Outside of the U.S., having a Safe Harbor Certification assures that your company provides "adequate" privacy protection. To obtain this certification, an organization must comply with the seven safe harbor principles.

Safe Harbor is an important way for U.S. companies to avoid experiencing interruptions in their business dealings with the European Union or facing prosecution.

Survey Results:

What if there was a way to reduce costs for both the Organization and the employee, while also improving over all employee
recruitment and retention? Well, there is a way!

A recent survey, conducted by Aberdeen Group and NuView Systems, revealed that 41 % of respondents report that automating benefits enrollment and life change submissions through employee online self service is a primary goal for dealing with benefits management.

Nationwide, organizations are finding that automating their benefit management strategies is reducing employee healthcare costs and the administrative burden on HR staff.

Employee satisfaction and lessening the burden of HR administration, although important, are not the only advantages to benefit automation.
