We are looking for a temporary Consultant to serve as Sr. Software Architect to establish an optimized cloud deployment for our Java/JDO enabled database.  Successful candidate will need to work with cloud vendors, outside consultants, and internal IT to create a scalable environment for implementation, testing, and live deployment.  Java code that conflicts with the desired model will also need to be altered to meet the new model.

• Optimize JDO configuration
• Establish and optimize Tomcat clustering
• Establish and optimize MySQL cluster
• Establish JDO distributed cache over cluster
• Migrate leftover SQL code to JDO
• Establish centralized management tools of various clusters
• Establish JUnit tests for various cluster testing
• Establish performance testing suite
• Indentify and optimize performance issues
• Prepare for cloud deployment on Amazon EC2
• Work with contractor for cloud optimization

• JDO and DataNucleus ORM
• JDO caching including Ehcache
• Web Service Clustering
• MySQL Clustering
• JUnit testing
• Cloud Deployment (Amazon EC2)
