The QA Analyst will assist our Product Development team in performing QA tasks for testing complex web-based applications. He/she needs demonstrated experience and leadership in software testing methodologies, testing approaches and defect tracking. He/she will communicate with BAs, developers and senior management..
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases and perform functional and regression testing.
- Coordinate with Business Analysts and Developers on application defects and enhancements to ensure proper escalation and follow up.
- Develop test plans to include scope of testing, test objectives, test approach and methodology.
- Mentor junior off shore testers on QA methodologies and processes.
- Communicate and ensure that projects with offshore team are managed and completed on time.
- Provide issue resolution and weekly status reports to Sr. Management.
- 3+ years of testing experience for web based software products.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
- Familiarity with relational databases and ability to write SQL queries.
- Ability to write or enhance automated test scripts written in HP Quick Test Pro.
- Familiarity with HP Test Director/Quality Center.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Excel, Windows XP required.
- Experience with MS SQL Server 2005.
- Experience working in the HR/Payroll domain.
