Position Overview and Summary of Essential Responsibilities

  • The person in this role respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, & electronically
  • Responsible for identifying, researching, troubleshooting, and escalating Workstation, Server, and Application-related issues
  • Has the ability to problem solve and prioritize issues committed to the resolution policy of NuView Inc.
  • Demonstrates ability to adjust to multiple demands and priorities, while working effectively within team environment.


  • First point of contact for all IT issues; manage calls, cases, & e-mail queue
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Assist users with issues including workstation, VPN, printing, connectivity, wireless, etc.
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Advise user on appropriate action, keep users aware of case status
  • Follow standard help desk procedures & checklists
  • Install & configure workstations for users.
  • Add, change, remove, user accounts in Active Directory
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Assist IT Staff with server projects including Windows Server installation & configuration
  • Create/change phone extensions, manage voicemail access.
  • Participate in software rollouts and other software IT projects.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting issues and triaging them to the appropriate team members.
  • Has the ability to effectively communicate with users.
  • Responsible for managing multiple and fluid priorities required by management and clients.
  • Has the ability to determine the quickest and most efficient path to resolution.
  • Provides technical/professional advice and knowledge to others within the team and organization.
  • Has the ability to work independently and with an immediate supervisor, and communicating project/work status.
  • Provides emergency 24/7 on-call support on a rotating schedule.
  • Has the ability to work as part of a team.


Position Qualifications

  • High Proficiency with Microsoft Windows XP, 7, & Server Editions required.
  • High proficiency in Windows-based software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required. 
  • Working knowledge of networking & protocols
  • Working knowledge of printing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL & Linux is helpful.
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment required.
  • Working within a detail-oriented team environment is required.
