Within our human resource software, we provide a standard powerful toolkit (NuViewTools). The Authorization Manager tool is used to designate who gets to approve a request, have oversight for a change of data, or reconfirms a critical process.
A Business Process Flow (BPF) can best be looked at to understand how the flow of the process changes hands within the definition of that BPF in the Authorization Manager.
The process is directed to defined roles that have responsibility of creating, forwarding, approving/authorizing a task. Some standard roles are employee, manager, supervisor, department head, division head, unit head, company head, and HR.
The Authorization Manager breaks up the BPF into various steps, where action by a particular role is required. BPFs may be implemented in the Authorization Manager for action on a particular form or a particular workflow design component.
