Within our human resource software, we provide a standard powerful toolkit (NuViewTools). The notification engine within that toolkit allows the creation of a printed letter or email when a particular event gets triggered.
There are three ways in which a notification may be triggered. First, a field in which data changes an trigger an event. Second, the passage of time in a date field may be monitored to trigger an event. Third, a standard delivered workflow or a workflow designed in a custom toolset may force a notification to occur. This allows for any business process to allow for a notification to occur that is targeted to a particular role at a particular time.
